Hi I am Hazel Hope Alex and what inspired me to become an advocate for this amazing program is realising that I can help make a change and make things better.

1. Personal Connection to Environmental Issues
– How do you feel about the current problem of plastic pollution and its impact on our oceans and natural ecosystems?
I feel very disappointed in us as humans that we cannot realise the impact of our actions and how much most of us do not care of the retaliations
Can you share any personal experiences that have shaped your views on this issue?
I saw a seagull chocking on plastic and another not so far opened with its stomach filled with plastic and lids…ect

– How does it feel to be nominated by Michelle to be appointed as an EcoChangeMakers Youth Advocate?
I’m so grateful and in awe more than words can explain I’m grateful that she can see the passion and spirit I have.
What does this nomination mean to you personally and professionally?
It makes me realise and notice that maybe I can make a change.
3. Importance of the Charity’s Mission
– Why do you believe the mission of ChangeMakersHub is so important for the environment?
Because if we don’t then who will we need to be the start we need to be the influence so we can get the earth to its better state.
How do you think it contributes to creating lasting change?
The motto is the ripple effect that means the program teaching others and passing on the knowledge helps more than just that one person because they will share the information and eventually we will all be made aware and understand.
4. Role Modelling and Leadership
– As an advocate, how do you see the role of leading by example?
Yes
Can you give an example of how you strive to embody the values of sustainability in your own life?
I buy re-useable bags, buy recycled plastic products re-use bottle and ect.
5. Using Your Voice
– Being an advocate also means using your voice to influence others. What message do you feel is most crucial to share with the world regarding environmental conservation and sustainability?
Start Now! Do your best and try your hardest to make a change because no matter how much change we make it won’t make a difference if there are still uneducated people.

– How do you plan to engage your community/school/team and inspire others to support the EcoChangemakers initiative?
Show them how much their contribution can help and change everything.
What strategies do you think might be effective in raising awareness about environmental issues?
As everything is digital now digital ads and just groups where people meet and get to ask questions and receive more knowledge about this.
7. Future Aspirations
– What are your hopes for the future regarding environmental sustainability?
To have a clean environmental sustainable world How do you envision the role of young advocates like yourself in achieving those goals?
Just working hard and realising the point of it which is not just a title but the passion to save the planet.

If you won’t then who will.
How can individuals contribute to the cause, no matter how small their efforts may seem?
Beach clean ups, not using plastic and lids things as such.
