Personal Touch, Viva, Clere, Clere for Men, Gold Series and Playboy and Playgirl deodorants are proud to partner with Soweto Business Access (SBA), an advocate for the economic upliftment of townships and rural areas, by donating 26 branded bicycles to help launch an inspired employment and human welfare initiative. These bikes will be used to deliver groceries, medication and household and personal care products to those living in Soweto, especially now during COVID-19. By communicating through WhatsApp, consumers will be able to send through their shopping lists and later receive their items without leaving the safety of their homes. All cyclists will wear masks and be equipped with a Chemico Surface Sanitiser and a Clere Pure & Protect Instant Hand Sanitiser to ensure all safety precautions are met.
This initiative will also see many youths being provided with much needed jobs: 26 delivering the items, and those who will be employed to do the actual shopping and standing in queues. This initiative will officially be launched on 11 August after training has been carried out. “We are thrilled to be a part of this much needed initiative. Looking after those who are the most vulnerable, whether it is by providing employment, or by making sure that the aged and sick do not need to leave their homes during these times, together with Soweto Business Access we know that the positive impact of this programme will be far reaching,” says Karen Kruger, general manager at AMKA Products.
