Corinne Newman, who often goes by Ren, is a senior studying English with a concentration in creative writing at Michigan State University. They are passionate about using their works and writings to help generate social change by bringing attention to important topics even if they can be controversial. They are excited to be a part of ChangeMakersHub and to be given an opportunity through it to bring awareness to the rising issues with plastics. Through their work with ChangeMakers, they have learned more about plastic waste and the importance of collective action to make solutions to these issues a reality.
