As we approach Earth Day on April 22, 2025, we invite all changemakers to participate in an exciting initiative that aims to make a tangible impact on our environment.
The EcoChangeMakers Plastic CAPture Challenge is set to kick off today, on Earth Day and will run until July 31, coinciding with #PlasticFree July. This challenge encourages everyone to collect plastic HDPE2 caps and deposit them into specially designed heart-shaped cages.

What is the EcoChangeMakers Plastic CAPture Challenge?
The EcoChangeMakers Plastic CAPture Challenge is a collaborative effort aimed at raising awareness about plastic pollution and promoting recycling practices.
Participants will collect plastic bottle caps—often overlooked in recycling efforts.
By collecting bottle caps, you are directly contributing to reducing plastic waste in our environment. Bottle caps are often not recycled properly and can end up in landfills or oceans, contributing to pollution. This challenge fosters a sense of community and being part of a collective, among staff and students as we work together towards a common goal of sustainability.
How It Works
- Collect plastic caps: Start collecting your plastic caps from home, work, or while out and about.
- Drop Off Locations: Bring your collected caps to the designated heart-shaped cages. Locations will be revealed soon. Email us to find out more startaripple@changemakershub.org
- Challenge Duration: The challenge begins on April 22 (Earth Day) and runs until July 31 (Plastic Free July).
